She is just the main “female” character, like a main support character, supporting, cheering, asking the questions, making obstacles etc., introducing us to the main “male” protagonist >Natsu!<. Some would say they both share the role of being the main characters but considering all the episodes, moments,opening and ending songs, I'm sure Natsu is the main protagonist. Like he is always placed in the front whenever they are in a group or about to battle. He is always the most focused character in the openings. He also definitely get the most spotlight in the episode like in this episode: they found "him" first of all of them, he has a boy "Romeo" who is looking up to him waiting at home, I don't even remember seeing Lucy that much in this episode to be honest. Anyways Fairy Tail is awesome! Hope you could use some of this information ^^

As you saw in the episode, Fairy Tail has been declared the worst Guild in the world. Then they attend the Magic Games to reclaim there title. Before the magic games, they meet Zeref (Mystogan). They want Natsu and the gang to see if theirs anything suspicious during the games. Once they get their, every guild who attended has to pass the maze before the first day. Fiary Tail was placed 7th since they ran off to fight the other guilds. Fairy Tail has 2 teams that made it. In Day 1 and some of 2, they are still placed 7th and 6th.
