Season 2 will happen if the sales of season 1 is at a high enough amount that the producers get the money to make season 2 and enough money for their pockets.

@ggg this is the second to last special, the last comes out in august. at that point or close to it is when we hear about the new season. there is plenty of material for there to be a new season and it is very popular. in short the odds of a second season is high and i can’t wait for he day i get to see it.

The last special will come out at September along with the Volume 13 of Highschool DxD light novel. Also there will be season 2 and 3. I don’t know about season 4 and 5 but I’m sure they’re planning to animate all the remaining story left in the light novel.
