I’m going to make a little prediction here before I progress in this series any further.
My theory is that Yuuko had been forced into some kind of sacrificial ritual to seal something off, where she was pushed down the stairs, broke her leg and was trapped there until she died. However, i’m guessing that the ritual didn’t work, or it was broken somehow, and released both Yuuko’s ghost and whatever was supposed to be sealed that either resembles her or took her form. So, there are actually two Yuuko’s walking around: the real one and the evil spirit.
